Price Supervision in the Middle of Ramadan

The Consumer Price Survey (SHK) which is carried out routinely by BPS Mesuji Regency has entered the last week of March 2024. In the middle of the month of Ramadan, commodity prices are indicated to continue to rise until Idul Fitri. Therefore, strict monitoring of market prices is needed, especially for food and clothing.

On Monday, March 25 2024, Consumer Price Survey officers carried out the HK 1.1 enumeration, namely the Consumer Price Survey enumeration which is carried out every week to monitor the prices of basic food commodities which fluctuate quite sharply. In the fourth week, it was observed that the prices of cayenne peppers, tomatoes and chicken meat had not increased much. However, the price of red chilies has decreased quite significantly compared to the previous week.

This Consumer Price Survey aims to capture price movements of goods/services commonly consumed by the public. The results of this activity then become the basis for calculating the Consumer Price Index (CPI) and Inflation. Starting in 2024, at the beginning of every month, BPS Mesuji Regency will release inflation.
