MONITORING FIELD COLLECTION OF CONSUMER PRICE SURVEY (SHK) BPS MESUJI DISTRICT

On March 6 2024, Head of BPS Mesuji Regency Zulkifli S.ST., M.M., participated in monitoring the Consumer Price Survey Field data collection. The type of Consumer Price Survey carried out is the Survey with the HK-1.2 Questionnaire which is carried out every two weeks. This activity began with the direction of the field enumerator (PCL) consisting of 4 officers and continued with data collection on several traders who had become sample respondents for this consumer price survey activity and ended with an evaluation.

The commodities covered in this questionnaire are a number of goods that are usually consumed daily by households, but the prices do not fluctuate too much when compared to a number of commodities in the HK 1.1 questionnaire, such as instant dry noodles, various fresh and preserved fish, vegetables, etc. etc

The output produced by SHK is in the form of the Consumer Price Index (CPI), which is one of the strategic data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) required by the Government in determining policy direction. The percentage change in the CPI within a certain period of time or better known as the inflation/deflation rate is an important indicator in the economic field, especially from the monetary side.
