Data collection for the 2024 Agricultural Economic Survey for Individual Business Units (UTP) will be carried out simultaneously in all Indonesian Regencies/Cities starting from 01 June 2024 to 30 June 2024. To carry out these data collection activities, BPS Mesuji Regency has trained 16 officers consisting of 12 Data Collection Officers. Field and 4 Field Inspection Officers on 27 – 31 May 2024. All field data collection officers are assigned to carry out data collection in 56 Census Blocks (BS) spread throughout the sub-districts where each Census Block consists of 10 UTPs which have become selected samples.

In general, the 2024 Agricultural Economic Survey is a combination of the Farmer Income Survey (last 2013) and Cost Structure Survey (last 2017). The Agricultural Economic Survey is also a follow-up 2023 Agricultural Census (ST2023) activity which is being held with the aim of providing accurate and up-to-date agricultural economic data which can be used as a reference for the government and stakeholders in planning and formulating policies both for internal interests and for national development. Apart from that, the aim of implementing SEP 2024 is to find out the welfare of farmers in Indonesia, both at the provincial and district levels.
