Mesuji Regency KSA observation activities in March 2024

The time came in the fourth week when one of BPS's routine activities was carried out, namely carrying out an observation survey for KSA Rice and Corn. The KSA survey is one of the activities that aims to calculate the estimated harvest area for rice and secondary crops (corn).

The KSA implementation itself combines a map of the raw area of rice fields obtained from remote sensing technology (satellite imagery) as a sampling framework and the use of Android devices for field observations. Data collection via KSA is carried out using segment areas as calculation samples. Segment observations are carried out on the last seven days of each month.

BPS Mesuji Regency has carried out KSA Rice and Corn observation activities from 25 to 31 March 2024 using the BPS KSA application version 51/2024.03. In the rice KSA, each enumerator has made observations on 2-3 segments, while in the corn KSA each enumerator has made observations on 4 segments and each segment has 9 subsegments. For this month, the KSA observed values for rice were mostly found in the generative phase or growth phase starting from panicle exit, ripening, until before harvest (56-105 days).
