August 2024 Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation in Mesuji Regency was 2.59 percent.

Abstract

In August 2024, there was year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Mesuji Regency of 2.59 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 110.63.

The y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in several expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 3.11 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 3.53 percent; the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 1.36 percent; the health group by 5.93 percent; the recreation, sports, and culture group by 2.02 percent; the education group by 9.19 percent; the food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 6.45 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 5.57 percent. Furthermore, there are three groups that experienced y-on-y deflation, namely the household equipment, tools and routine maintenance group of 0.63 percent; the transportation group of 0.55 percent; and the information, communication, and financial services group of 1.08 percent. In August 2024, there was month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation of 0.17. Meanwhile, the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate for Mesuji Regency in August 2024 was 1.31 percent.
