Abstract

Lampung's Consumer Tendency Index (ITK) in Quarter II-2016 was 106.42. An index number above 100 means that the economic condition of Lampung consumers is better and more optimistic compared to the previous quarter, namely 101.55. There are three variables that form ITK, namely household income, the influence of inflation and the volume of consumption of goods/services. These three variables show numbers above 100. The household income variable shows an index of 108.22, which means there has been an increase in household income and is more optimistic than the previous quarter. The inflation influence variable shows an index of 107.80, which means there is less influence of inflation on total household expenditure. The variable volume of consumption of goods/services shows an index of 100.39, which means there is an increase in the amount of consumption of goods/services. Based on the three variables that form ITK, it appears that the improvement in consumer economic conditions in the second quarter of 2016 was mainly caused by an increase in household income.
