Abstract

Lampung's economy in 2015, measured based on Gross Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices, reached IDR 253.2 trillion and GDP per capita reached IDR 31.2 million.

Lampung's economy in 2015 grew 5.13 percent, stronger than in 2014 of 5.08 percent. In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by the Transportation and Warehousing and Information and Communication Business Fields at 11.67 percent and 10.84 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth was achieved by the Foreign Export Component at 17.40 percent, followed by Government Consumption Expenditure at 13.06 percent and Consumption Expenditure for Non-Profit Institutions serving Households (LNPRT) at 7.05 percent.

Lampung's economy in the fourth quarter of 2015, when compared to the fourth quarter of 2014 (y-on-y), grew by 5.33 percent, strengthening compared to the same period the previous year of 4.69 percent.

Lampung's economy in the fourth quarter of 2015 experienced a contraction of 8.38 percent compared to the previous quarter (q-to-q). From the production side, this was caused by seasonal effects on the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries business fields which experienced a contraction of 28.81 percent. In terms of expenditure, this was caused by a decrease in Foreign Exports and Household Consumption Expenditures.

Spatially, Lampung's economic growth in 2015 was in fourth position in Sumatra after the Riau Islands, West Sumatra and Bengkulu.
