Abstract

The export value of Lampung Province in April 2009 reached US$ 147.03 million or experienced a decrease of US$ 38.32 million (20.67 percent) compared to exports in March 2009, while compared to April 2008 it experienced a decrease of US$ 73.46 million (33.32 percent). ) of US$ 220.49 million. Cumulatively, the export value of Lampung Province from January to April 2009 reached US$ 634.49 million or decreased by 26.54 percent compared to the same period in 2008.

A fairly high decline in exports occurred in organic chemicals at US$ 25.38 million, fish and shrimp at US$ 18.54 million and processed meat and fish at US$ 6.94 million. Meanwhile, the highest increase in exports in April 2009 occurred in processed fruit/vegetables at US$ 14.27 million, coffee, tea and spices at US$ 10.68 million, and pulp/pulp at US$ 8.25 million.

In the period January-April 2009, the export value of animal/vegetable fats and oils; coffee, tea, and spices; fish and shrimp; and processed fruits/vegetables have a relatively large contribution, namely 13.05 percent each; 12.19 percent; 7.09 percent; and 6.81 percent of the total exports of Lampung Province for the period January-April 2009. The role of these four groups reached 39.09 percent of the total export value in the same period.

Exports to Taiwan in April 2009 reached the largest figure, namely US$ 11.83 million, followed by China, Japan and Singapore respectively at US$ 11.62 million, US$ 9.45 million and US$ 8.58 million and the fourth role. reached 28.2 percent of total exports that month
