Abstract

The export value of Lampung Province in March 2009 reached US$ 185.35 million or an increase of US$ 21.55 million (13.16 percent) compared to exports in February 2009, while compared to March 2008 it decreased by US$ 42.92 million (18.80 percent). ) of US$ 228.27 million. Cumulatively, the export value of Lampung Province from January to March 2009 reached US$ 487.46 million or a decrease of 24.23 percent compared to the same period in 2008.

The highest increase in exports in March 2009 occurred in organic chemicals at US$ 34.63 million, processed fruit/vegetables at US$ 2.35 million, and fish and shrimp at US$ 1.03 million. Meanwhile, a fairly high decline in exports occurred in animal/vegetable fats and oils; cocoa/chocolate; coffee, tea, spices; and pulp/pulp worth US$ 46.90 million each; US$ 8.91 million; US$ 4.90 million; and US$ 4.86 million.

In the January-March 2009 period, the export value of animal/vegetable fats and oils; coffee, tea, and spices; fish and shrimp; and organic chemicals provide a relatively large contribution, namely 19.86 percent respectively; 13.58 percent; 11.19 percent; and 8.48 percent of the total exports of Lampung Province for the period January-March 2009. The role of these four groups reached 53.10 percent of the total export value in the same period.

Exports to the Netherlands in March 2009 reached the largest figure, namely US$ 29.14 million, followed by the US, Korea and Germany respectively at US$ 27.55 million, US$ 19.50 million and US$ 18.61 million and the fourth role. reached 44.30 percent of total exports that month.
