BPS Mesuji Regency carried out data collection activities for the March National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) and the Quarterly Household Economic Survey (Seruti) for the first quarter of 2024. This activity was carried out from February 1 2024 and ended on March 9 2024.
Susenas itself is one of the surveys used by the Indonesian government in terms of providing data and indicators to implement national development in line with the 2020-2024 National Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMN) and the Sustainable Development Goals (TPB/SDGs).
Susenas and Seruti are household data collection activities that will produce quite a lot of indicators and data, where these indicators and data are very useful for data users, especially the government, for planning, monitoring and evaluating government development programs. Some of the indicators and data produced from Susenas include Poverty Rates, Sickness Rates, Literacy Rates, School Enrollment Rates, and forming Human Development Index (HDI) numbers.
Just like the previous year, Susenas March 2024 was integrated with Seruti Quarter I 2024. Seruti itself is an activity aimed at obtaining household economic statistics in the form of income values and patterns, consumption expenditure, expenditure other than consumption, investment and household financial transactions. . One of the benefits of Seruti data collection is that it is a component of Household Consumption Expenditures (PKRT) in calculating quarterly GRDP.
In Mesuji Regency, Susenas activities were carried out in 57 Census Block areas spread across 7 Districts. Meanwhile Seruti was implemented in 13 Census Block areas which are the same as the Susenas Census Block. Then, in each Census Block a sample of 10 households was taken.
