Abstract

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the index in eight expenditure groups, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 7.79 percent; clothing and footwear group at 6.23 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 1.63 percent; health group at 5.93 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 1.98 percent; education group at 0.22 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 9.68 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 4.87 percent. Furthermore, three groups experienced y-o-y deflation, namely: equipment, equipment and routine household maintenance group at 0.83 percent; transportation group at 0.88 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group at 0.40 percent.
