Abstract

In September 2021, the number of poor people (population with monthly per capita expenditure below the Poverty Line) in Lampung reached 1.01 million people (11.67 percent), a decrease of 76.9 thousand people compared to March 2021 conditions which amounted to 1.08 million people (12.62 percent).

The percentage of poor people in urban areas in September 2021 was 8.50 percent, down 0.79 points compared to March 2021 which was 9.29 percent. Meanwhile, the percentage of poor people in rural areas in September 2021 was 13.18 percent or decreased by 1 point compared to March 2021 which was 14.18 percent.

During the period March-September 2021, the number of poor people in urban areas fell by 18.12 thousand people (from 254.60 thousand people in March 2021 to 236.48 thousand people in September 2021), while in rural areas it fell by 58.79 thousand people (from 829.33 thousand people in March 2021 to 770.54 thousand people in September 2021).
