Economic Growth of Lampung Province in 3rd Quarter 2016 about 5,26 percent

Abstract

Lampung Province's economy in the third quarter of 2016 grew stronger by 5.26 percent compared to the third quarter of 2015 (y-on-y) which grew 5.22 percent. In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by the Electricity and Gas Procurement business field at 21.56 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth was achieved by the Household Non-Profit Institution Consumption Expenditure Component at 5.72 percent.

Lampung Province's economy in the third quarter of 2016 experienced slowing growth of 3.34 percent compared to the previous quarter (q-to-q). In terms of production, apart from increasing agricultural, forestry and fisheries production, especially plantation products, there is also increased production in construction and trade business fields. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, growth was supported by an increase in foreign exports by 12.44 percent and consumption expenditure by non-profit household institutions by 8.12 percent.

Spatially, the economic growth of the Sumatra Island region in the third quarter of 2016 grew by 3.88 percent and the highest growth was in North Sumatra Province which grew 5.28 percent
