Abstract

The working population in August 2016 was 3,931.3 thousand people, an increase of 76.5 thousand people compared to the situation in February 2016 and an increase of 296.1 thousand people compared to the situation a year ago.

Relatively speaking, Lampung's unemployment rate showed an increase from 4.54 percent in February 2016 to 4.62 percent in August 2016. When compared with August 2015 (5.14 percent), the unemployment rate fell by 0.52 points. The decline can be seen from the number of job seekers (open unemployment) of 6.5 thousand people or a decrease of 3.3 percent over the last year.

The number of the workforce consisting of residents ready to work (employed and unemployed) shows an increase of 83.4 thousand people compared to February 2016 and an increase of 289.6 thousand people compared to August 2015. the last year.
