Abstract

The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) for Star Hotels in Bandar Lampung in January 2009 reached 47.50 percent, down 0.62 percent compared to December 2008 which was recorded at 48.12 percent. Meanwhile, compared to January 2008 which was recorded at 48.61 percent, the TPK fell by 1.11 percent.

The number of guests staying at star hotels in January 2009 was 6,149 people, consisting of 258 foreign guests and 5,891 domestic guests, down 5.06 percent compared to the previous month. Meanwhile, compared to January 2008, it fell 2.87 percent. The decrease in the number of guests staying overnight was influenced by the end of the series of Islamic New Year holidays, the nearby Christmas and New Year holidays.

The average length of stay of guests at star-rated hotels in January 2009 was 1.59 days, or 0.05 days higher compared to December 2008, and compared to January 2008, 0.26 days lower.
