National Social Solidarity Day (HKSN) is commemorated every year on December 20. This commemoration day was pioneered since 1949, when the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia realized the need to restore social life after the Dutch Military Aggression II (1948). The purpose of National Social Solidarity Day is as a form of gratitude and respect for the success of all levels of Indonesian society in facing the threat of colonialism.
