Mesuji Regency Regional Inflation Control Team Meeting.

Monday, January 15 2024 BPS Mesuji Regency attended the Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID) Weekly Meeting in the meeting room of the Regent's Hall of Mesuji Regency. This activity was opened directly by the acting Regent of Mesuji Regency, Drs. Sulpakar, M.M. The meeting activities began by watching together online a presentation regarding the weekly Price Change Index (IPH) which occurs in all districts which do not have their own Consumer Price Index (CPI) figures. Mesuji Regency is one of the new districts that will have CPI figures, so the weekly IPH figures for Mesuji Regency will no longer exist since the beginning of 2024.

After watching the presentation regarding IPH, Sulpakar said, starting February 1, Mesuji Regency will have its own inflation figures, therefore as a TPID it can be much easier to control because commodities that will experience price increases will be more detailed and the variance will not be like in the previous IPH which only monitors 20 commodities. Head of BPS Mesuji Regency, Zulkifli added that details of inflation conditions which will be released at the beginning of each month can be downloaded and viewed by anyone in the Official Statistics News on the website mesujikab.bps.go.id.
